The ninth point of the Scout Law is “A Scout is thrifty.”This means that A Scout works to pay his way and to help others. He saves for unforeseen needs. He protects and conserves natural resources. He carefully uses time and property. Troop 11 strives to be relatively self-sustaining by holding periodic fundraisers in which all members must participate to earn their own way and to help ensure that Troop 11 is able to deliver the best program possible for the boys. In addtion to these fundraising activities, Troop 11 welcomes free will financial donations as well as in-kind donations of good and services. All donations are used to make a fun and rewarding program to the boys of Troop 11 who come from various backgrounds and financial situations and ensure that they are able to participate in a variety of fun, challenging and rewarding activities and are prepared to become tomorrow’s leaders. Finally, it is our sincere goal to ensure that no scout is left out because of financial need.
