Joining Requirements:
To join Troop 11 you must be a boy who has completed the 5th grade, or has earned the Arrow of Light Award, or be 11 years old, but not yet 18.

Click on the form below that best applies to you and complete it along with the Health Form and bring it along with a parent, and the $10 joining fee to a meeting which occur on Wednesday Nights from 6:30-8:00 at the Acushnet Wesley United Methodist Church which is located at 67 Main street in Acushnet.

What do we do?
- Camp out year round!
- Go to fun and interesting places!
- Let our youth members plan what they want to do and when!
- Have at least one activity a month!
- Spend a full week at summer camp where you get to do things like sail, fish, rock climb, swim, hike shoot a rifle, a shotgun(If your 14), and a bow and arrow, and much more!
- Teach you fun and interesting things Like how to survive in the woods and what to do in an emrgency to save your own or someone else’s life.
Why should you join?
- Fun! In Troop 11 you and your fellow Scouts plan the program, so we have a great time. We have a special activity at least once a month. Usually we go camping somewhere cool. Check over our calendar to see where we are going next.
- Adventure! Troop 11 has activities for every interest and because you have input the possibilities are endless where we may go in the future whether it be rock climbing, shotgun shooting, whitewater rafting, or an overnight canoe trip or something else.
- We are a family! Everyone is welcome in Troop 11. Once you visit, you will find out how friendly our Scouts and leaders are to you. We have a place waiting for you. Bullying, name calling, and fighting are never allowed because we allow people from all backgrounds and beliefs to join our troop and try to understand and respect people as individuals who are different from us.
- Make New Friends! As soon as you arrive, you will see how friendly our Scouts and adult leaders are, and that you will make new friendships, which will last for a lifetime.
- Hang Out! Scouts is all about doing what you want when you want to including activities and meetings. Sometimes instead of a meeting where we work on Scout stuff, we will have a party or a game night.
- We campout and have activities year-round. Troop 11 tries to camp out and have activities at least once a month year round at a variety of fun and exciting places where you can hike and explore and have fun.
- We have great leaders. Troop 11 has lots of leaders several of whom were Scouts themselves and are Eagle Scouts. Our leadership keeps growing with the troop! Also, many of our leaders have taken a number of special training courses so they can be the best leaders possible for you so they’re ready for anything. Our leaders come because they are excited about the Scouting program and because they want to be there!
- Learn skills that will help you in life. Troop 11 will teach you skills that will help you your entire life including how to survive in the woods, and what to do in an emergency. You will also learn about being a good citizen and a leader by teaching and leading younger Scouts. You will also learn all about the world around you and the people in it.
